Proposed project: Engage African communities around South Brisbane in ClimateSmart Living. Focussing on using word-of-mouth techniques to suit African culture, including climate change workshops, direct visits to homes and campaigns via elders, group leaders and heads of family.

Proposed project: Volunteers engage families in the LCD at grassroots level and offer a rewards and recognition program through the State League for households achieving significant reductions.

Proposed project: Conduct LCD training sessions for specific organisations, businesses and community groups, as well as promoting within the broader community.

Proposed project: One month “Carbon Challenge” contest in the Upper Condamine region, and develop “Captain Climate” action hero to engage youth.
