Women

Join 1 Million Women and take action!

Did you know that women make approximately 70% of consumer decisions that affect the household carbon footprint?

We think it makes sense then to call on the strength of women to lead a national campaign that helps cut carbon across Australia.

The “1 Million Women” campaign is now calling on all Queensland women to stand up and take action against climate change today.

The goal of the campaign is to prevent one million tonnes of CO2 pollution from entering the atmosphere. That is the equivalent to taking 250,000 cars off the road for 12 months!

It is easy to get involved.  Women can join the campaign at www.1millionwomen.com.au and register to cut 1 tonne of CO2 by committing to undertaking some small changes to everyday actions.

Once you have signed up, make sure you follow through with the changes you committed to – and then call on your mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, colleague or team mate to also take action.

So why don’t you join up today at www.1millionwomen.com.au and start cutting your carbon!

The Queensland Government is a proud sponsor of the "1 Million Women" campaign.
